People and culture

My name is David Gabor, owner of Georgia Soapstone. My journey in the countertop industry started back in 2014 in my hometown of Sacramento, California. Working alongside some of Northern California's finest countertop companies, my first experience started as a countertop installation helper. Once I acquired the knowledge and recognition of quality craftsmanship, I moved into the administrative side to better understand every aspect that was involved. From reconciliations, material ordering, custom estimating and more, I developed the necessary knowledge and skills to later become office manager for the finest Soapstone fabrication and installation company in Sacramento. After developing a deep understanding and working alongside Soapstone, I acquired a passion for this beautiful, natural stone, quarried right from this very earth. I would then meet my future wife here in Georgia and make the decision to use my knowledge and understanding of Soapstone and create Georgia Soapstone, right here in Metro Atlanta, Georgia.
