Natural soapstone slabs (un-oiled) are usually gray and have a rustic look to them. They will naturally darken over time, but you can speed up the process, if you prefer the darker look, by oiling or waxing the soapstone. You will see both, oiled and un-oiled sections of each soapstone slab in the warehouse.
